Public Housing In Penang

A taste of Singapore's HDB flats in Penang. The strongest idea of this proposal is the linear parks that connect the towers at various levels. The parks help to break down the communities with each tower and make the communal space more accessible to the residents at a shorter travelling distance.

The only concern to this scheme is the substantial amount of curtain class as depicted in the facade of the buildings. This may increase the energy load of the buildings and make them less environmentally sustainable.

Landmark for Kaohsiung Port

Challenging the notion of conventional skyscraper where floors are simply stacked on top of another to reach the top, this tower has an external screen that is creatively crafted to serve both the aesthetics and functional purposes. The diagonal structural bracing creates a kind of dynamism vertically and gives rise to an interesting form. The tower stands out among its more boringly designed neighbors to declare that the time has come for Taiwanese architects to compete at the international stage.

Traditional Graphics On Modern Skyscraper

A classic example of architect as the mother of all art. This building shows us that graphic design can be utilized by architects as a powerful tool in enhancing the aesthetics quality of their building. Architects should indeed collaborate with graphic designers to create more interesting buildings that benefit the society as a whole. Architects have been to egoistic and arrogant for far too long that they refuse to acknowledge the important works of other designers that have their immense values in their own right. Let's work together to create more great architecture!
